Social Responsibility

I am committed to bringing to light a rare know-how while providing regular work to highly skilled craftsmen. I strive to preserve the ancestral tradition of the cashmere creation from Srinagar, in the Kashmiri Valley.

My Slow Fashion & Décor label is built on five principles:

  1. Respect for people:  Luxury is based on details. The high quality of our collection exists thanks to the outstanding skills of the Master Craftsmen we have known for 15 years, and those behind the scene: the cleaners, spinners, dyers, weavers, dhobi cleaners to mention only a few.

  2. Respect for work: All these Artisans work at home, only adults are involved. My sustainable pledge since the beginning is to respect the wage they set and give them regular work.

  3. Respect for time: I believe in the value of time to reach beauty. Each creation demands from a few weeks to a few years.

  4. Preservation of culture: culture is about art, history and footprints of humanity throughout centuries. I chose to bring to light this rare know-how to contribute to preserve its future.

  5. Respect for animals: Changra goats are looked after as a treasure, harvested only once a year.

Thank you for being part of this community of connoisseurs who enjoy art & style, while ensuring a better living to Master Embroiders and their families in war stricken Kashmir.
