Master Craftsmen

My collection is born from the golden fingers of Master craftsmen from the Kashmiri Srinagar Valley, who master ancestral weaving and hand embroidery techniques we strive to preserve.

They produce the finest cashmere available today because they respect the traditional know-how. The creation of this amazing fiber requires: the Queen of goat, the coldest temperature, a specific way of harvesting, cutting, combing, and cleaning the under layer of wool developed thanks to the cold. Then, how to spin this delicate thread is critical, so it doesn’t break. The regularity of the chain stitched hand embroidery is perfected with the mastery of each point. Some pieces can demand more than 20 months of work. My pledge is also to uncompromisingly select the best materials, from pure cashmere of the Kashmiri Srinagar valley to the best linen from Belgium or wool from New Zealand.

Only a very limited number of pieces are available each year. The Master Craftsmen with whom we have built a close relationship for the past 15 years are proud to dedicate their time to customize pieces we commission for prestigious homes and galleries around the world.

My partner or “The Influential Goat” as she likes to be called, has always had a predilection for high Himalayan pastures. Her small four-legged friends feel her love for them, as evidenced by the picture.

Her love for all things goat gives her access to the best pashmina in Kashmir, which she turns into refined textile pieces with lots of passion and massive help from her many Kashmiri friends.
